This page explains what My Fresh Taste Kitchen collects when you visit myfreshtastekitchen.com, why, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do about it. It describes the site as it actually works today, not a template of what a site might do.
Who is responsible
My Fresh Taste Kitchen is published by the operator of myfreshtastekitchen.com. A postal address and any applicable registration details are supplied on request through the contact form. For anything on this page, use the contact form.
What we collect, and when
Only if you type it
- Comments. The name and email address you enter, the comment itself, and the time it was posted. The email address is never published. Comments are held for review before they appear.
- Contact form. The name, email address and message you send, so that we can reply.
Automatically, on every visit
- Server logs. Our host records the IP address, the browser identification and the pages requested. These logs exist for security and fault-finding, and they are not used to build a profile of you.
- Caching. Pages are served from a cache to make the site faster. The cache stores pages, not people.
What this site does not do
As of the date above, this site carries no advertising, no analytics and no tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics tag, no Tag Manager container, no advertising network and no third-party pixel on any page. If that changes, this page changes first.
Cookies
The site sets a cookie only if you tick the box that remembers your details on the comment form, and if you log in as an administrator. A reader who does not comment receives no cookie from us. The full list is on the cookie policy page.
How long we keep it
- Comments and their metadata: kept as long as the comment is published, so follow-up comments from the same person can be recognised.
- Contact messages: 24 months, then deleted.
- Server logs: kept for the period set by our host, our hosting provider.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The only parties that process data on our behalf are the ones that make the site run: our hosting provider for hosting and logs, and the anti-spam service that checks incoming comments.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to how it is used. Write to the contact form and you will get an answer within one month. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
