Recipes are a starting point
The recipes on this site are published in good faith and for general information. Ovens run hot and cold, pans conduct differently, ingredients vary by brand and by season, and altitude changes how things bake. A time or a temperature in a recipe is a reasonable starting point, not a guarantee. Trust what you can see, smell and measure in your own kitchen over what is written on the page.
How the recipes are written
Recipes are written from established technique and checked for internal consistency. We do not claim that every recipe has been cooked and photographed in our own kitchen. If that matters to you — and it reasonably might — you now know where you stand.
Food safety
Follow the food safety guidance of your national authority for storage, thawing, reheating and minimum internal cooking temperatures, especially for poultry, pork, ground meat, eggs and shellfish. Where a recipe gives an internal temperature, use a thermometer rather than timing alone.
Nutrition figures
Where nutrition information appears, it is calculated automatically from the ingredient list by the recipe plugin. It is an estimate. It does not account for brand differences, how much of a marinade is actually eaten, or changes you make to the recipe. Do not rely on it for medical or dietary decisions.
Allergies and health
Always read the labels of the products you use. If you have a food allergy, an intolerance, or a medical condition, speak to a qualified professional before changing what you eat. Nothing on this site is medical or dietary advice.
