My Fresh Taste Kitchen is a recipe site for people who cook on ordinary evenings, in an ordinary kitchen, with the equipment they already own. No specialist gear, no ingredients that take a special trip, no assumption that you have an hour to spare.

What you will find here

Around nine hundred recipes, grouped into four sections: everyday dinners and bakes, doughnuts, breakfast, and beef stew. Chicken, ground beef, pork, pasta, sheet-pan vegetables, muffins and quick breads make up most of it. New recipes are added in batches rather than daily, and older ones are corrected when a reader tells us something does not add up.

How a recipe is put together

Each page has two halves, and they do different jobs.

  • The written part explains what actually decides the outcome — why a batter turns tough when it is over-mixed, at what point a sauce will split, what temperature the pan needs to reach before the meat goes in. It is there so the recipe still works when your oven runs hot or your pan is a different size.
  • The recipe card at the bottom gives the ingredients, the quantities and the steps in order. It prints on one page, and it is the version to follow while you cook.

Quantities live in the card and nowhere else. That is deliberate: when the same numbers appear twice on a page they drift apart, and the reader has no way of knowing which one to trust.

Where the recipes come from

They are written from established technique — standard ratios, published cooking temperatures, methods that are well documented — and checked for internal consistency before they go up. Times and temperatures are given as reasonable starting points for a home oven, not as guarantees.

We do not claim that every recipe on this site has been cooked and photographed in our own kitchen. Plenty of food sites say that. We would rather tell you what the recipe is based on and let you judge it.

Corrections

If a quantity looks wrong, a step is out of order, or a time does not match what happened in your kitchen, tell us. Write to the contact form or use the contact page, and say which recipe and which line. Corrections are made to the page itself, not buried in a comment.
