Sausage Stuffing Balls
- Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil.
- Heat 1 cup of water to boiling in the microwave or on the stovetop. In a medium bowl, pour the boiling water over the stuffing mix. Stir and fluff with a fork until the liquid is completely absorbed.
- In a large bowl, combine the prepared stuffing, raw sausage, and shredded cheddar. Blend by hand or with an electric mixer until thoroughly mixed.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, shape the mixture into balls that are 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until nicely browned and fully cooked.
- After baking, take the sausage stuffing balls out of the oven and allow them to cool a bit. Enjoy them plain or with a dipping sauce.
Cranberry Dipping Sauce (Optional)
- For the optional cranberry dipping sauce: In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup of cranberry sauce (either store-bought or homemade), 1 tablespoon of orange juice, and a pinch of cinnamon. Taste and adjust the seasoning as desired.
