Ingredients

Sausage Stuffing Balls
  • 6 oz turkey or chicken Stove Top stuffing mix 170 g
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage 454 g
  • 2 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese 226 g
  • 1 cup water
Cranberry Dipping Sauce (Optional)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Method

Sausage Stuffing Balls
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil.
  2. Heat 1 cup of water to boiling in the microwave or on the stovetop. In a medium bowl, pour the boiling water over the stuffing mix. Stir and fluff with a fork until the liquid is completely absorbed.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the prepared stuffing, raw sausage, and shredded cheddar. Blend by hand or with an electric mixer until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, shape the mixture into balls that are 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until nicely browned and fully cooked.
  6. After baking, take the sausage stuffing balls out of the oven and allow them to cool a bit. Enjoy them plain or with a dipping sauce.
Cranberry Dipping Sauce (Optional)
  1. For the optional cranberry dipping sauce: In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup of cranberry sauce (either store-bought or homemade), 1 tablespoon of orange juice, and a pinch of cinnamon. Taste and adjust the seasoning as desired.
