Ingredients

  • 36 OREO cookies 1 standard 14.3 oz package
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 12 oz green candy melts or white chocolate + green gel coloring
  • Red heart sprinkles or red M&M minis, heart-shaped

Method

  1. Process OREOs in a food processor until they become fine crumbs, leaving the cream filling intact.
  2. Incorporate the softened cream cheese and continue pulsing until the mixture is homogeneous and forms a sticky dough.
  3. Form 1-inch balls from the dough, arrange on a parchment-covered tray, and freeze for 30 to 60 minutes.
  4. Soften the green candy melts by microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring after each interval until completely smooth.
  5. Using a fork or dipping tool, immerse the chilled balls into the green coating, return them to the tray, and immediately press a red candy heart onto each before the coating hardens.
  6. Allow the coated balls to set by refrigerating or leaving at room temperature until the coating is firm. Keep refrigerated for storage.
