  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Vanilla Frosting
  • 1 cup powdered sugar 120 g
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Cinnamon Sugar Bars
  1. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 9x13-inch baking pan with grease.
  2. Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until creamy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract, stirring until uniformly blended.
  4. Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Slowly fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring only until combined.
  6. Evenly distribute the batter across the prepared pan.
  7. Combine cinnamon and sugar for the topping in a small bowl, then scatter it over the batter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted at the center emerges clean.
  9. Allow the bars to cool thoroughly before applying the frosting.
Vanilla Frosting
  1. Stir together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth, then spread this frosting over the cooled bars.
