Ingredients

  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese 227 g, cut into cubes
  • 6 oz Colby Jack cheese 170 g, cut into cubes
  • 6 oz Havarti cheese 170 g, cut into cubes
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 oz peppered salami 113 g
  • 4 oz large pepperoni slices 113 g
  • 6 oz blackberries 170 g
  • 6 oz strawberries 170 g, diced
  • 12 oz green olives 340 g, drained
  • 10-12 pretzel sticks
  • 4 rosemary sprigs

Method

  1. Take a small star-shaped cookie cutter and cut stars from the provolone slices; set them aside.
  2. Fold each slice of salami and pepperoni in half, then fold in half again to create decorative layers.
  3. Position the pretzel sticks at the bottom of a large serving board to form the tree trunk.
  4. Beginning at the bottom of the board, arrange the cubed cheddar cheese in a wide row to start the Christmas tree shape.
  5. Keep building the tree by layering the blackberries, folded pepperoni, and cubed Colby Jack cheese, making each row slightly shorter than the one below it.
  6. Complete the top half of the tree with rows of green olives, folded salami, cubed Havarti cheese, and diced strawberries, continuing to taper the shape as you reach the top.
  7. Adorn the tree with the provolone stars, placing one at the top as the tree topper.
  8. Arrange the rosemary sprigs around the board to resemble tree branches or festive greenery.
  9. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
